‹The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.›
Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
¶ And when they drew nigh unto Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, unto the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples,
¶ ‹Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer› [is] ‹nigh:›
‹And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.›
‹Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway,› [even] ‹unto the end of the world.› Amen.
And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign [will there be] when these things shall come to pass?
And he said unto them, ‹It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.›
For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
