Moses sent spies to reconnoiter Jaazer, and they captured its villages and dispossessed the Amorites who were there.

“Ataroth, Dibon, Jazer, Nimrah, Heshbon, Elealeh, Sebam, Nebo, and Beon,

“Get up, make your way across Wadi Arnon. Look! I have already delivered over to you Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land. Go ahead! Take it! Engage him in war!

Heshbon, and Jazer, along with the grazing areas of each– a total of four cities.
