Now this is eternal life– that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you sent.

But now that you have come to know God(or rather to be known by God), how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless basic forces? Do you want to be enslaved to them all over again?

Now on the topic of brotherly love you have no need for anyone to write you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another.

You have purified your souls by obeying the truth in order to show sincere mutual love. So love one another earnestly from a pure heart.

If you know that he is righteous, you also know that everyone who practices righteousness has been fathered by him.

The person who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

If anyone says“I love God” and yet hates his fellow Christian, he is a liar, because the one who does not love his fellow Christian whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.
