Manasseh’s Reign Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned for fifty-five years in Jerusalem.

Before I was afflicted I used to stray off, but now I keep your instructions.

I know, LORD, that your regulations are just. You disciplined me because of your faithful devotion to me.

To this day your people have shown no contrition! They have not revered me nor followed the laws and statutes I commanded you and your ancestors.’
