TSK · 2 Samuel 16:4

A single witness may not testify against another person for any trespass or sin that he commits. A matter may be legally established only on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

So the Tekoan woman went to the king. She bowed down with her face to the ground in deference to him and said,“Please help me, O king!”

The king said,“Bring to me whoever speaks to you, and he won’t bother you again!”

The one who gives an answer before he listens– that is his folly and his shame.

It is dangerous to have zeal without knowledge, and the one who acts hastily makes poor choices.
