Exhortation to Keep the Covenant Principles Now these are the commandments, statutes, and ordinances that the LORD your God instructed me to teach you so that you may carry them out in the land where you are headed
Promises of Good for Covenant Obedience If you obey these ordinances and are careful to do them, the LORD your God will faithfully keep covenant with you as he promised your ancestors.
Then he will not exalt himself above his fellow citizens or turn from the commandments to the right or left, and he and his descendants will enjoy many years ruling over his kingdom in Israel.
Then I would not be ashamed, if I were focused on all your commands.
I choose the path of faithfulness; I am committed to your regulations.
I do not turn aside from your regulations, for you teach me.
They were both righteous in the sight of God, following all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blamelessly.
