praising God and having the good will of all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number every day those who were being saved.

For no one is declared righteous before him by the works of the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.

even before they were born or had done anything good or bad(so that God’s purpose in election would stand, not by works but by his calling)–

So in the same way at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace.

The Message of the Cross For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Spiritual Blessings in Christ Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ.

In Christ we too have been claimed as God’s own possession, since we were predestined according to the purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of his will

For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God;

For God did not call us to impurity but in holiness.

¶ Salutation From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope,

But“when the kindness of God our Savior and his love for mankind appeared,

but, like the Holy One who called you, become holy yourselves in all of your conduct,

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

and all those who live on the earth will worship the beast, everyone whose name has not been written since the foundation of the world in the book of life belonging to the Lamb who was killed.
