Jesus’ True Family While Jesus was still speaking to the crowds, his mother and brothers came and stood outside, asking to speak to him.

Again, I tell you the truth, if two of you on earth agree about whatever you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you.

Many women who had followed Jesus from Galilee and given him support were also there, watching from a distance.

There were also women, watching from a distance. Among them were Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joses, and Salome.

and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and disabilities: Mary(called Magdalene), from whom seven demons had gone out,

If you then, although you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

And all those who knew Jesus stood at a distance, and the women who had followed him from Galilee saw these things.

Now it was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them who told these things to the apostles.

Now standing beside Jesus’ cross were his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.

The Fellowship of the Early Believers They were devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

When they heard this, they raised their voices to God with one mind and said,“Master of all, you who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and everything that is in them,

Rejoice in hope, endure in suffering, persist in prayer.

With every prayer and petition, pray at all times in the Spirit, and to this end be alert, with all perseverance and petitions for all the saints.
