Then the Jewish leaders said to one another,“Where is he going to go that we cannot find him? He is not going to go to the Jewish people dispersed among the Greeks and teach the Greeks, is he?

So Joseph, a Levite who was a native of Cyprus, called by the apostles Barnabas(which is translated“son of encouragement”),

and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught a significant number of people. Now it was in Antioch that the disciples were first called Christians.

Paul and Barnabas Preach in Cyprus So Barnabas and Saul, sent out by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus.

So they were sent on their way by the church, and as they passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, they were relating at length the conversion of the Gentiles and bringing great joy to all the brothers.

But Paul and Barnabas remained in Antioch, teaching and proclaiming(along with many others) the word of the Lord.

and when he arrived at Caesarea, he went up and greeted the church at Jerusalem and then went down to Antioch.

Some of the disciples from Caesarea came along with us too, and brought us to the house of Mnason of Cyprus, a disciple from the earliest times, with whom we were to stay.
