The LORD grants success to the one whose behavior he finds commendable.

A good person obtains favor from the LORD, but the LORD condemns a person with wicked schemes.

The backslider will be paid back from his own ways, but a good person will be rewarded for his.

He said to him,“Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”

There was a lot of grumbling about him among the crowds. Some were saying,“He is a good man,” but others,“He deceives the common people.”

But carefully select from among you, brothers, seven men who are well-attested, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may put in charge of this necessary task.

Stephen is Arrested Now Stephen, full of grace and power, was performing great wonders and miraculous signs among the people.

The hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number who believed turned to the Lord.

(For rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person perhaps someone might possibly dare to die.)
