Why do the nations rebel? Why are the countries devising plots that will fail?

But I say to you, love your enemy and pray for those who persecute you,

who said by the Holy Spirit through your servant David our forefather,‘Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot foolish things?

But the Jews became jealous, and gathering together some worthless men from the rabble in the marketplace, they formed a mob and set the city in an uproar. They attacked Jason’s house, trying to find Paul and Silas to bring them out to the assembly.
