All the people noticed this and it pleased them. In fact, everything the king did pleased all the people.

In Judah God moved the people to unite and carry out the edict of the king and the officers in keeping with the LORD’s message.

But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

A report about them came to the attention of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch.

They sent this letter with them: From the apostles and elders, your brothers, to the Gentile brothers and sisters in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia, greetings!

Therefore we are sending Judas and Silas who will tell you these things themselves in person.

but Paul chose Silas and set out, commended to the grace of the Lord by the brothers and sisters.

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the rest of the prisoners were listening to them.

Some of them were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, along with a large group of God-fearing Greeks and quite a few prominent women.

Then the brothers sent Paul away to the coast at once, but Silas and Timothy remained in Berea.

¶ Salutation From Paul and Silvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace and peace to you!

Final Greetings Through Silvanus, whom I know to be a faithful brother, I have written to you briefly, in order to encourage you and testify that this is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it.
