The Call of the Disciples As he was walking by the Sea of Galilee he saw two brothers, Simon(called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea(for they were fishermen).
After a little while, those standing there came up to Peter and said,“You really are one of them too– even your accent gives you away!”
And immediately the man stood up, took his stretcher, and went out in front of them all. They were all amazed and glorified God, saying,“We have never seen anything like this!”
and said,“Men of Galilee, why do you stand here looking up into the sky? This same Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will come back in the same way you saw him go into heaven.”
and they recognized him as the man who used to sit and ask for donations at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, and they were filled with astonishment and amazement at what had happened to him.
