The Results of Covenant Reaffirmation“When you have experienced all these things, both the blessings and the curses I have set before you, you will reflect upon them in all the nations where the LORD your God has banished you.

“And you, Solomon my son, obey the God of your father and serve him with a submissive attitude and a willing spirit, for the LORD examines all minds and understands every motive of one’s thoughts. If you seek him, he will let you find him, but if you abandon him, he will reject you permanently.

Jehoshaphat was afraid, so he decided to seek the LORD’s advice. He decreed that all Judah should observe a fast.

In the eighth year of his reign, while he was still young, he began to seek the God of his ancestor David. In his twelfth year he began ridding Judah and Jerusalem of the high places, Asherah poles, idols, and images.

Let the oppressed eat and be filled! Let those who seek his help praise the LORD! May you live forever!

The oppressed look on– let them rejoice! You who seek God, may you be encouraged!

Boast about his holy name! Let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice!

Pay attention and come to me! Listen, so you can live! Then I will make an unconditional covenantal promise to you, just like the reliable covenantal promises I made to David.

When you call out to me and come to me in prayer, I will hear your prayers.

ט(Tet) The LORD is good to those who trust in him, to the one who seeks him.

Amos 5:6 TSK

Seek the LORD so you can live! Otherwise he will break out like fire against Joseph’s family; the fire will consume and no one will be able to quench it and save Bethel.

For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
