But if you seek the LORD your God from there, you will find him, if, indeed, you seek him with all your heart and soul.

Walk just as he has commanded you so that you may live, that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land you are going to possess.

You must revere the LORD your God, serve him, and take oaths using only his name.

Narrative Interlude Today the LORD your God is commanding you to keep these statutes and ordinances, something you must do with all your heart and soul.

What I am commanding you today is to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to obey his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances. Then you will live and become numerous and the LORD your God will bless you in the land which you are about to possess.

But carefully obey the commands and instructions Moses the LORD’s servant gave you. Love the LORD your God, follow all his instructions, obey his commands, be loyal to him, and serve him with all your heart and being!”

But Jehu did not carefully and wholeheartedly obey the law of the LORD God of Israel. He did not repudiate the sins which Jeroboam had encouraged Israel to commit.

He was loyal to the LORD and did not abandon him. He obeyed the commandments which the LORD had given to Moses.

They solemnly agreed to seek the LORD God of their ancestors with their whole heart and being.

If only my people would obey me! If only Israel would keep my commands!

Having heard everything, I have reached this conclusion: Fear God and keep his commandments, because this is the whole duty of man.

Now who is the person who has conquered the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
