But if he does not do it with premeditation, but it happens by accident, then I will appoint for you a place where he may flee.

Exhortation to Worship the Lord Exclusively Then when the LORD your God brings you to the land he promised your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to give you– a land with large, fine cities you did not build,

The Central Sanctuary These are the statutes and ordinances you must be careful to obey as long as you live in the land the LORD, the God of your ancestors, has given you to possess.

Provision for Kingship When you come to the land the LORD your God is giving you and take it over and live in it and then say,“I will select a king like all the nations surrounding me,”

I gave you a land in which you had not worked hard; you took up residence in cities you did not build and you are eating the produce of vineyards and olive groves you did not plant.’
