When you gather in the harvest of your land, you must not completely harvest the corner of your field, and you must not gather up the gleanings of your harvest. You must leave them for the poor and the resident foreigner. I am the LORD your God.’”

You must by all means lend to him and not be upset by doing it, for because of this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you attempt.

Then you shall say before the LORD your God,“I have removed the sacred offering from my house and given it to the Levites, the resident foreigners, the orphans, and the widows just as you have commanded me. I have not violated or forgotten your commandments.

If I have refused to give the poor what they desired, or caused the eyes of the widow to fail,

For the music director; a psalm of David. How blessed is the one who treats the poor properly! When trouble comes, may the LORD deliver him.

One person is generous and yet grows more wealthy, but another withholds more than he should and comes to poverty.

The one who is gracious to the poor lends to the LORD, and the LORD will repay him for his good deed.

I want you to share your food with the hungry and to provide shelter for homeless, oppressed people. When you see someone naked, clothe him! Don’t turn your back on your own flesh and blood!

Luke 6:38 TSK

Give, and it will be given to you: A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be poured into your lap. For the measure you use will be the measure you receive.”

My point is this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously.
