At the end of the 430 years, on the very day, all the regiments of the LORD went out of the land of Egypt.

Moses said to the people,“Remember this day on which you came out from Egypt, from the place where you were enslaved, for the LORD brought you out of there with a mighty hand– and no bread made with yeast may be eaten.
In the future, when your son asks you‘What is this?’ you are to tell him,‘With a mighty hand the LORD brought us out from Egypt, from the land of slavery.
So when we cried to the LORD, he heard our voice and sent a messenger, and has brought us up out of Egypt. Now we are here in Kadesh, a town on the edge of your country.
For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. He has chosen you to be his people, prized above all others on the face of the earth.
Rather it is because of his love for you and his faithfulness to the promise he solemnly vowed to your ancestors that the LORD brought you out with great power, redeeming you from the place of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
However, only to your ancestors did he show his loving favor, and he chose you, their descendants, from all peoples– as is apparent today.
I will instruct and teach you about how you should live. I will advise you as I look you in the eye.
O children of Abraham, God’s servant, you descendants of Jacob, God’s chosen ones!
to the one who struck down the firstborn of Egypt, for his loyal love endures,
Since you are precious and special in my sight, and I love you, I will hand over people in place of you, nations in place of your life.
Through all that they suffered, he suffered too. The messenger sent from his very presence delivered them. In his love and mercy he protected them; he lifted them up and carried them throughout ancient times.
At that time I will be the God of all the clans of Israel and they will be my people. I, the LORD, affirm it!”
He has done this to show mercy to our ancestors, and to remember his holy covenant–
