TSK · Deuteronomy 5:16

“Honor your father and your mother, that you may live a long time in the land the LORD your God is giving to you.

Keep his statutes and commandments that I am setting forth today so that it may go well with you and your descendants and that you may enjoy longevity in the land that the LORD your God is about to give you as a permanent possession.”

Walk just as he has commanded you so that you may live, that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land you are going to possess.

‘Cursed is the one who disrespects his father and mother.’ Then all the people will say,‘Amen!’

For God said,‘Honor your father and mother’ and‘Whoever insults his father or mother must be put to death.’

For Moses said,‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and,‘Whoever insults his father or mother must be put to death.’

You know the commandments:‘Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.’”

Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing in the Lord.
