So she slept beside him until morning. She woke up while it was still dark. Boaz thought,“No one must know that a woman visited the threshing floor.”

A good name is to be chosen rather than great wealth, good favor more than silver or gold.

Ointment and incense make the heart rejoice, likewise the sweetness of one’s friend from sincere counsel.

One dead fly makes the perfumer’s ointment give off a rancid stench, so a little folly can outweigh much wisdom.

How delightful is your love, my sister, my bride! How much better is your love than wine; the fragrance of your perfume is better than any spice!

The godly perish, but no one cares. Honest people disappear, when no one minds that the godly disappear because of evil.
