Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a hand-drum in her hand, and all the women went out after her with hand-drums and with dances.

But Moses sought the favor of the LORD his God and said,“O LORD, why does your anger burn against your people, whom you have brought out from the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?

(Now the man Moses was very humble, more so than any man on the face of the earth.)

I will write on the tablets the same words that were on the first tablets you broke, and you must put them into the ark.”

Now David, wearing a linen ephod, was dancing with all his strength before the LORD.

Our hearts no longer have any joy; our dancing is turned to mourning.

Then I cut the second staff“Union” in two in order to annul the covenant of brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

After looking around at them in anger, grieved by the hardness of their hearts, he said to the man,“Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored.

Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on the cause of your anger.
