The slave masters were pressuring them, saying,“Complete your work for each day, just like when there was straw!”

“Now this is what you are to prepare on the altar every day continually: two lambs a year old.

“Tell the Israelites,‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the Feast of Shelters for seven days to the LORD.

“‘These things you must present to the LORD at your appointed times, in addition to your vows and your freewill offerings, as your burnt offerings, your grain offerings, your drink offerings, and your peace offerings.’”

He was given daily provisions by the king of Babylon for the rest of his life until the day he died.

Now the Jewish Feast of Shelters was near.
