“So now, our God– the great, powerful, and awesome God, who keeps covenant fidelity– do not regard as inconsequential all the hardship that has befallen us– our kings, our leaders, our priests, our prophets, our ancestors, and all your people– from the days of the kings of Assyria until this very day!

He does not deal with us as our sins deserve; he does not repay us as our misdeeds deserve.

ח(Khet) The LORD’s loyal kindness never ceases; his compassions never end.

You mix uncleanness with obscene conduct. I tried to cleanse you, but you are not clean. You will not be cleansed from your uncleanness until I have exhausted my anger on you.

Have you suffered so many things for nothing?– if indeed it was for nothing.
