One of them said,“I will surely return to you when the season comes round again, and your wife Sarah will have a son!”(Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, not far behind him.
So Sarah became pregnant and bore Abraham a son in his old age at the appointed time that God had told him.
The LORD appeared to Isaac and said,“Do not go down to Egypt; settle down in the land that I will point out to you.
Then he blessed Joseph and said,“May the God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked– the God who has been my shepherd all my life long to this day,
He added,“I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Then Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God.
as he promised to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his descendants forever.”
He told them,“You are not permitted to know the times or periods that the Father has set by his own authority.
For this is what the promise declared:“About a year from now I will return and Sarah will have a son.”
By faith he lived as a foreigner in the promised land as though it were a foreign country, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, who were fellow heirs of the same promise.
