Admonition to Avoid Easy but Unjust Riches My child, if sinners try to entice you, do not consent!

to deliver you from the adulterous woman, from the loose woman who has flattered you with her words;

My child, guard the commands of your father and do not forsake the instruction of your mother.

A man who commits adultery with a woman lacks sense, whoever does it destroys his own life.

Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways– do not wander into her pathways;

There are companions who harm one another, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Give me your heart, my son, and let your eyes observe my ways;
