The LORD makes this promise on oath and will not revoke it:“You are an eternal priest after the pattern of Melchizedek.”

They have stringed instruments, tambourines, flutes, and wine at their parties. So they do not recognize what the LORD is doing, they do not perceive what he is bringing about.

“Therefore, son of man, pack up your belongings as if for exile. During the day, while they are watching, pretend to go into exile. Go from where you live to another place. Perhaps they will understand, although they are a rebellious house.

Here then, this is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies has said:‘Think carefully about what you are doing.

So Jesus said to them again,“Peace be with you. Just as the Father has sent me, I also send you.”

You also are among them, called to belong to Jesus Christ.

even us, whom he has called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles?

For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the circumcised on behalf of God’s truth to confirm the promises made to the fathers,

to the church of God that is in Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, and called to be saints, with all those in every place who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours.

Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all share the one bread.

namely, that through the gospel the Gentiles are fellow heirs, fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus.

There is one body and one Spirit, just as you too were called to the one hope of your calling,

giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to share in the saints’ inheritance in the light.

Exhortation to Unity and Love Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with a heart of mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,

I call on you solemnly in the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers and sisters.

He called you to this salvation through our gospel, so that you may possess the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Compete well for the faith and lay hold of that eternal life you were called for and made your good confession for in the presence of many witnesses.

Think about what I am saying and the Lord will give you understanding of all this.

Therefore he had to be made like his brothers and sisters in every respect, so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in things relating to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.

Jesus Our Compassionate High Priest Therefore since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession.

where Jesus our forerunner entered on our behalf, since he became a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.

The High Priest of a Better Covenant Now the main point of what we are saying is this: We have such a high priest, one who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,

and since we have a great priest over the house of God,

For in the same way the holy women who hoped in God long ago adorned themselves by being subject to their husbands,

And, after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory in Christ will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

What we have seen and heard we announce to you too, so that you may have fellowship with us(and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ).

They will make war with the Lamb, but the Lamb will conquer them, because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those accompanying the Lamb are the called, chosen, and faithful.”
