For the music director; by the Korahites; a psalm. All you nations, clap your hands! Shout out to God in celebration!

Let the sky rejoice, and the earth be happy! Let the sea and everything in it shout!

Let the sea and everything in it shout, along with the world and those who live in it!

Praise him, O highest heaven, and you waters above the sky!

The Land and Its People Are Transformed Let the wilderness and desert be happy; let the arid rift valley rejoice and bloom like a lily!

those whom the LORD has ransomed will return that way. They will enter Zion with a happy shout. Unending joy will crown them, happiness and joy will overwhelm them; grief and suffering will disappear.

Shout for joy, O sky, for the LORD intervenes; shout out, you subterranean regions of the earth. O mountains, give a joyful shout; you too, O forest and all your trees! For the LORD protects Jacob; he reveals his splendor through Israel.

You will say to the prisoners,‘Come out,’ and to those who are in dark dungeons,‘Emerge.’ They will graze beside the roads; on all the slopes they will find pasture.

Those whom the LORD has ransomed will return; they will enter Zion with a happy shout. Unending joy will crown them, happiness and joy will overwhelm them; grief and suffering will disappear.

All your children will be followers of the LORD, and your children will enjoy great prosperity.

Out of those places you will hear songs of thanksgiving and the sounds of laughter and merriment. I will increase their number and they will not dwindle away. I will bring them honor and they will no longer be despised.

But I will most surely heal the wounds of this city and restore it and its people to health. I will show them abundant peace and security.

“Escape, Zion, you who live among the Babylonians!”

The Expectation of Justification Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in him, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
