The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs; the nations will obey him.

Let all the people of the earth acknowledge the LORD and turn to him! Let all the nations worship you!

Because of your temple in Jerusalem, kings bring tribute to you.

May his fame endure! May his dynasty last as long as the sun remains in the sky! May they use his name when they formulate their blessings! May all nations consider him to be favored by God!

when the LORD rebuilds Zion, and reveals his splendor,

Let all the kings of the earth give thanks to you, O LORD, when they hear the words you speak.

Israel is Reclaimed and Reunited At that time a root from Jesse will stand like a signal flag for the nations. Nations will look to him for guidance, and his residence will be majestic.

The Lord is the Nations’ Only Hope This is what the LORD says:“The profit of Egypt and the revenue of Ethiopia, along with the Sabeans, those tall men, will be brought to you and become yours. They will walk behind you, coming along in chains. They will bow down to you and pray to you:‘Truly God is with you; he has no peer; there is no other God!’”

Look, they come from far away! Look, some come from the north and west, and others from the land of Sinim!

Zion Will Be Secure“Shout for joy, O barren one who has not given birth! Give a joyful shout and cry out, you who have not been in labor! For the children of the desolate one are more numerous than the children of the married woman,” says the LORD.

You will drink the milk of nations; you will nurse at the breasts of kings. Then you will recognize that I, the LORD, am your deliverer, your protector, the Powerful One of Jacob.

I will perform a mighty act among them and then send some of those who remain to the nations– to Tarshish, Pul, Lud(known for its archers), Tubal, Javan, and to the distant coastlands that have not heard about me or seen my splendor. They will tell the nations of my splendor.

Better Days Ahead for Jerusalem In the future the LORD’s Temple Mount will be the most important mountain of all; it will be more prominent than other hills. People will stream to it.

The LORD of Heaven’s Armies says,‘It will someday come to pass that people– residents of many cities– will come.

Seekers Now some Greeks were among those who had gone up to worship at the feast.

I ask then, they did not stumble into an irrevocable fall, did they? Absolutely not! But by their transgression salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make Israel jealous.
