TSK · Jeremiah 2:6

The Victory at the Red Sea The LORD spoke to Moses:

be sure you do not feel self-important and forget the LORD your God who brought you from the land of Egypt, the place of slavery,

The LORD found him in a desolate land, in an empty wasteland where animals howl. He continually guarded him and taught him; he continually protected him like the pupil of his eye.

He took the cloak that had fallen off Elijah, hit the water with it, and said,“Where is the LORD, the God of Elijah?” When he hit the water, it divided and Elisha crossed over.

before I depart, never to return, to the land of darkness and the deepest shadow,

Even when I must walk through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for you are with me; your rod and your staff reassure me.

Through all that they suffered, he suffered too. The messenger sent from his very presence delivered them. In his love and mercy he protected them; he lifted them up and carried them throughout ancient times.

No one invokes your name, or makes an effort to take hold of you. For you have rejected us and handed us over to our own sins.

Your priests did not ask,‘Where is the LORD?’ Those responsible for teaching my law did not really know me. Your rulers rebelled against me. Your prophets prophesied in the name of the god Baal. They all worshiped idols that could not help them.

“These people have denied what the LORD says. They have said,‘That is not so! No harm will come to us. We will not experience war and famine.

Well-Fed Israel Will Be Fed to Wild Animals But I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt. Therefore, you must not acknowledge any God but me; except me there is no Savior.

the people who sit in darkness have seen a great light, and on those who sit in the region and shadow of death a light has dawned.”
