The New Tablets of the Covenant The LORD said to Moses,“Cut out two tablets of stone like the first, and I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you smashed.
“‘If you walk in hostility against me and are not willing to obey me, I will increase your affliction seven times according to your sins.
I will walk in hostile rage against you and I myself will also discipline you seven times on account of your sins.
Baruch answered,“Yes, they came from his own mouth. He dictated all these words to me and I wrote them down in ink on this scroll.”
Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with rage, and his disposition changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He gave orders to heat the furnace seven times hotter than it was normally heated.
I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy contained in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book.
