We are all like one who is unclean, all our so-called righteous acts are like a menstrual rag in your sight. We all wither like a leaf; our sins carry us away like the wind.

we have sinned! We have done what is wrong and wicked; we have rebelled by turning away from your commandments and standards.

Nations will see this and be disappointed by all their strength, they will put their hands over their mouths, and act as if they were deaf.

Be silent in the LORD’s presence, all people everywhere, for he is being moved to action in his holy dwelling place.

I will get up and go to my father and say to him,“Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.

This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance:“Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”– and I am the worst of them!
