The one who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but the one who walks in wisdom will escape.

Jesus said to him,“I tell you the truth, on this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”

Jesus said to him,“I tell you the truth, today– this very night– before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.”

Jesus replied,“I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know me.”

Jesus replied,“Do you now believe?

Peter’s Second and Third Denials Meanwhile Simon Peter was standing in the courtyard warming himself. They said to him,“You aren’t one of his disciples too, are you?” Peter denied it:“I am not!”

So let the one who thinks he is standing be careful that he does not fall.
