You have followed the ways of your sister, so I will place her cup of judgment in your hand.

Going a little farther, he threw himself down with his face to the ground and prayed,“My Father, if possible, let this cup pass from me! Yet not what I will, but what you will.”

But Jesus said to them,“You don’t know what you are asking! Are you able to drink the cup I drink or be baptized with the baptism I experience?”

For all the nations of the world pursue these things, and your Father knows that you need them.

So they took away the stone. Jesus looked upward and said,“Father, I thank you that you have listened to me.

If you obey my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.

Jesus replied,“My kingdom is not from this world. If my kingdom were from this world, my servants would be fighting to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish authorities. But as it is, my kingdom is not from here.”

For you did not receive the spirit of slavery leading again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry,“Abba, Father.”

for the weapons of our warfare are not human weapons, but are made powerful by God for tearing down strongholds. We tear down arguments

keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set out for him he endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.
