Far be it from you to do such a thing– to kill the godly with the wicked, treating the godly and the wicked alike! Far be it from you! Will not the judge of the whole earth do what is right?”

before the LORD, for he comes! For he comes to judge the earth! He judges the world fairly, and the nations in accordance with his justice.

Jesus said to them,“My food is to do the will of the one who sent me and to complete his work.

For I have come down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me.

Then Jesus said,“When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and I do nothing on my own initiative, but I speak just what the Father taught me.

I am not trying to get praise for myself. There is one who demands it, and he also judges.

I glorified you on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.

Now we know that God’s judgment is in accordance with truth against those who practice such things.

For even Christ did not please himself, but just as it is written,“The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.”
