They do not comprehend or understand, for their eyes are blind and cannot see; their minds do not discern.

In a far-off land the LORD will manifest himself to them. He will say to them,‘I have loved you with an everlasting love. That is why I have continued to be faithful to you.

Jesus’ Invitation At that time Jesus said,“I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and have revealed them to little children.

And Jesus answered him,“You are blessed, Simon son of Jonah, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my Father in heaven!

How can you believe, if you accept praise from one another and don’t seek the praise that comes from the only God?

It is written in the prophets,‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who hears and learns from the Father comes to me.

Why don’t you understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot accept my teaching.

The Outcome of Jesus’ Public Ministry Foretold Although Jesus had performed so many miraculous signs before them, they still refused to believe in him,

But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us,

Having been buried with him in baptism, you also have been raised with him through your faith in the power of God who raised him from the dead.
