The Feast of Temporary Shelters“‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you are to have a holy assembly; you must do no ordinary work, and you must keep a festival to the LORD for seven days.

“‘On the third day you must offer eleven bulls, two rams, fourteen lambs one year old, all without blemish,

I will also shake up all the nations, and they will offer their treasures; then I will fill this temple with glory.” So the LORD of Heaven’s Armies has said.

Cleansing the Temple Then Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all those who were selling and buying in the temple courts, and turned over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves.

Jesus was teaching daily in the temple courts. The chief priests and the experts in the law and the prominent leaders among the people were seeking to assassinate him,

Now the Jewish Feast of Shelters was near.

Teaching About the Spirit On the last day of the feast, the greatest day, Jesus stood up and shouted out,“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me, and

Jesus replied,“I have spoken publicly to the world. I always taught in the synagogues and in the temple courts, where all the Jewish people assemble together. I have said nothing in secret.
