The Lord Laments That He Has No Choice But to Judge Them The LORD says,“These people are like soldiers who have readied their bows. Their tongues are always ready to shoot out lies. They have become powerful in the land, but they have not done so by honest means. Indeed, they do one evil thing after another and do not pay attention to me.

All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son decides to reveal him.

No one has ever seen God. The only one, himself God, who is in closest fellowship with the Father, has made God known.

Then Jesus, while teaching in the temple courts, cried out,“You both know me and know where I come from! And I have not come on my own initiative, but the one who sent me is true. You do not know him,

And the one who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, because I always do those things that please him.”

I tell you the solemn truth, if anyone obeys my teaching, he will never see death.”

If you obey my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.

They will do these things because they have not known the Father or me.

For as I went around and observed closely your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription:‘To an unknown god.’ Therefore what you worship without knowing it, this I proclaim to you.

The one who says“I have come to know God” and yet does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in such a person.

(The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has testified concerning his Son.)
