The Israelites lived among the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.

It is like the dew of Hermon, which flows down upon the hills of Zion. Indeed, that is where the LORD has decreed a blessing will be available– eternal life.

So Jeremiah went to Gedaliah son of Ahikam at Mizpah and lived there with him. He stayed there to live among the people who had been left in the land of Judah.

Ishmael also killed all the Judeans who were with Gedaliah at Mizpah and the Babylonian soldiers who happened to be there.
