They set your sanctuary on fire; they desecrate your dwelling place by knocking it to the ground.

You have broken down all his walls; you have made his strongholds a heap of ruins.
Do not bring any more meaningless offerings; I consider your incense detestable! You observe new moon festivals, Sabbaths, and convocations, but I cannot tolerate sin-stained celebrations!

“As for those who grieve because they cannot attend the festivals– I took them away from you; they became tribute and were a source of shame to you.
