He said to them,“The LORD will need to be with you if I release you and your dependents! Watch out! Trouble is right in front of you!

Now an archer shot an arrow at random, and it struck the king of Israel between the plates of his armor. The king ordered his charioteer,“Turn around and take me from the battle line, because I’m wounded.”

But he replied,“You’re talking like one of the godless women would do! Should we receive what is good from God, and not also receive what is evil?” In all this Job did not sin by what he said.

For he spoke, and it came into existence, he issued the decree, and it stood firm.

There are many plans in a person’s mind, but it is the counsel of the LORD which will stand.

who announces the end from the beginning and reveals beforehand what has not yet occurred, who says,‘My plan will be realized, I will accomplish what I desire,’

For he says to Moses:“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”

Come now, you who say,“Today or tomorrow we will go into this or that town and spend a year there and do business and make a profit.”
