David’s Final Words These are the final words of David:“The oracle of David son of Jesse, the oracle of the man raised up as the ruler chosen by the God of Jacob, Israel’s beloved singer of songs:

He said to them,“How then does David by the Spirit call him‘Lord,’ saying,

Jesus’ Final Commission Then he said to them,“These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and the psalms must be fulfilled.”

For David did not ascend into heaven, but he himself says,‘The Lord said to my lord,“Sit at my right hand

For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.
