Where would I be if I did not believe I would experience the LORD’s favor in the land of the living?

For the music director; By David, a psalm. I relied completely on the LORD, and he turned toward me and heard my cry for help.

But the person who endures to the end will be saved.

eternal life to those who by perseverance in good works seek glory and honor and immortality,

But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with endurance.

because we recall in the presence of our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and endurance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

But we passionately want each of you to demonstrate the same eagerness for the fulfillment of your hope until the end,

For you need endurance in order to do God’s will and so receive what is promised.

Patience in Suffering So be patient, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s return. Think of how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the ground and is patient for it until it receives the early and late rains.

‘I know your works as well as your labor and steadfast endurance, and that you cannot tolerate evil. You have even put to the test those who refer to themselves as apostles(but are not), and have discovered that they are false.

If anyone is meant for captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone is to be killed by the sword, then by the sword he must be killed.This requires steadfast endurance and faith from the saints.
