Many women who had followed Jesus from Galilee and given him support were also there, watching from a distance.

The Resurrection When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought aromatic spices so that they might go and anoint him.

Jesus then asked him,“What is your name?” He said,“Legion,” because many demons had entered him.

And all those who knew Jesus stood at a distance, and the women who had followed him from Galilee saw these things.

Now standing beside Jesus’ cross were his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.
