As he got out he saw the large crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick.

For this reason I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.

he has filled the hungry with good things, and has sent the rich away empty.

Jesus’ Ministry and the Help of Women Some time afterward he went on through towns and villages, preaching and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The twelve were with him,

and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

Everyone whom the Father gives me will come to me, and the one who comes to me I will never send away.

How are they to call on one they have not believed in? And how are they to believe in one they have not heard of? And how are they to hear without someone preaching to them?

For even Christ did not please himself, but just as it is written,“The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.”

Therefore let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace whenever we need help.
