So Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him:“God forbid, Lord! This must not happen to you!”

Yet his parents did not understand the remark he made to them.

that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.”

Jesus replied,“Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up again.”

(Now he said this to indicate clearly what kind of death he was going to die.)

His disciples said,“Look, now you are speaking plainly and not in obscure figures of speech!
