Jehoahaz’s Reign The people of the land took Jehoahaz son of Josiah and made him king in his father’s place in Jerusalem.
He deported to Babylon all who escaped the sword. They served him and his sons until the Persian kingdom rose to power.
He has already spoken about these things that King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon did not take away when he carried Jehoiakim’s son King Jeconiah of Judah and the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem away as captives from Jerusalem to Babylon.
