Tears stream down from my eyes, because people do not keep your law.

(8:23) I wish that my head were a well full of water and my eyes were a fountain full of tears! If they were, I could cry day and night for those of my dear people who have been killed.

So the slave came back and reported this to his master. Then the master of the household was furious and said to his slave,‘Go out quickly to the streets and alleys of the city, and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame.’

Israel’s Rejection Considered I am telling the truth in Christ(I am not lying!), for my conscience assures me in the Holy Spirit–

(To my disgrace I must say that we were too weak for that!) But whatever anyone else dares to boast about(I am speaking foolishly), I also dare to boast about the same thing.

Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls and will give an account for their work. Let them do this with joy and not with complaints, for this would be no advantage for you.
