This is how you are to eat it– dressed to travel, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. You are to eat it in haste. It is the LORD’s Passover.

Second Prediction of Jesus’ Death and Resurrection When they gathered together in Galilee, Jesus told them,“The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men.

The Son of Man will go as it is written about him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would be better for him if he had never been born.”

The Plot Against Jesus Two days before the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the chief priests and the experts in the law were trying to find a way to arrest Jesus by stealth and kill him.

And he said to them,“I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.

Now the Jewish feast of Passover was near, so Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

Jesus’ Anointing Then, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom he had raised from the dead.

(Now Judas, the one who betrayed him, knew the place too, because Jesus had met there many times with his disciples.)
