God Rescues Daniel from the Lions In the morning, at the earliest sign of daylight, the king got up and rushed to the lions’ den.

(Now Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were sitting there, opposite the tomb.)

Then they returned and prepared aromatic spices and perfumes. On the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment.

The Resurrection Now very early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and saw that the stone had been moved away from the entrance.
