Samuel did what the LORD told him. When he arrived in Bethlehem, the elders of the city were afraid to meet him. They said,“Do you come in peace?”

When Ahab saw Elijah, he said to him,“Is it really you, the one who brings disaster on Israel?”

They were saying to God,‘Turn away from us,’ and‘What can the Almighty do to us?’

Then they began to beg Jesus to leave their region.

When he saw Jesus, he cried out, fell down before him, and shouted with a loud voice,“Leave me alone, Jesus, Son of the Most High God! I beg you, do not torment me!”

and came and apologized to them. After they brought them out, they asked them repeatedly to leave the city.
